Neutrog Fertilisers was first established in Australia in 1988 and has since grown to become one of the largest organic fertiliser manufactures in that country—primarily supplying its premium products to conventional farmers and growers within the horticultural & broadacre markets along with, small but ever increasing quantities, being supplied to certified organic growers.
The Neutrog fertilisers are also widely used within the Home Garden and the Turf, Parks and Gardens markets.
The company name “Neutrog’ was born from the combination of ‘nutrients’ and ‘organics’ to accurately reflect the true nature of the products manufactured.
In 2001 Neutrog Africa was formed, manufacturing under licensed operation in South Africa. Commencing with only 15 people it has grown to now employ 40 people between the factory and office. The South African factory is based in the picturesque town of Philadelphia in the Western Cape - situated on the edge of the wheat growing region of the Swartland, against a backdrop of the beautiful Botterberg and fed by the Diep River.
From initial production levels of 500 tonnes in 2001 Neutrog Africa has since grown to now produce 20,000 tonnes annually.
A second licensee, Neutrog Ireland was founded in 2009 with the manufacturing facility located in Clones Co. Monaghan.
